Funding programs

The Natural Disaster Resilience Program (NDRP) is a grant funding program established under a National Partnership Agreement between the Commonwealth and the States and Territories. The Agreement encourages governments to work together with volunteers, the private sector and non-government sectors in an effort to build resilience to emergencies and disasters.

Objective

This is to be achieved through each state and territory delivering a program of activities that:

  • reduces the risk from the impact of disasters;
  • builds appropriate emergency management capability and capacity consistent with emergency risk profiles; and
  • supports emergency management volunteers.

Funding programs

Funding is available through three programs which form the Northern Territory Natural Disaster Resilience Program.

National strategy for disaster resilience

Projects that address the priorities outlined in the National Strategy for Disaster Resilience are encouraged.
