The Natural Disaster Resilience Program (NDRP) is a grant funding program established under a National Partnership Agreement between the Commonwealth and the States and Territories. The Agreement encourages governments to work together with volunteers, the private sector and non-government sectors in an effort to build resilience to emergencies and disasters.
This is to be achieved through each state and territory delivering a program of activities that:
- reduces the risk from the impact of disasters;
- builds appropriate emergency management capability and capacity consistent with emergency risk profiles; and
- supports emergency management volunteers.
Funding is available through three programs which form the Northern Territory Natural Disaster Resilience Program.
