Northern Territory Disaster Resilience Emergency Volunteer Fund (NTDREVF)

Through a National Partnership Agreement between the Northern Territory Government and the Australian Government, the Natural Disaster Resilience Program focuses on building resilience in communities to withstand natural disasters.

The Northern Territory Government in partnership with the Commonwealth Government under the Natural Disaster Resilience Program has established the Northern Territory Disaster Resilience Emergency Volunteer Fund (NTDREVF).  The NTDREVF focuses on emergency management volunteers in recognition of their needs and the significant front line role they play in reducing the vulnerability and enhancing community safety.

The NTDREVF will provide approved projects with up to $75,000 GST inclusive.

Organisations eligible to apply for funding under the NTDREVF must:

Alternatively a parent agency or local government department agency that has a responsibility for an emergency volunteer group can submit an application on behalf of that group.

Joint applications from eligible organisations are encouraged, although one organisation must be nominated as the lead for the application.

Only incorporated units are eligible to receive funding directly.  If your unit is not incorporated you must seek sponsorship from your parent agency or another local organisation.

Applications for 2012-2013 are now closed.  Please check back mid-late 2013 for further funding opportunities.
