Suspicious Death – Alice Springs

Police are investigating the death of a five month old boy who died in Alice Springs today.

Detective Senior Sergeant Travis Wurst of the Southern Investigations Division said the child died in the Alice Springs Hospital this afternoon.

“The cause of the death is currently unknown and investigations are continuing,” Detective Senior Sergeant Wurst said.

“Police are treating the incident as suspicious and will prepare a report for the Coroner.”

No further details will be released at this time.
