Operation Watto - Update

Operation Watto investigators have formally identified the human remains that were found within a burnt out vehicle on Bombing Road, Winnellie on 19 September 2012.

It is now known the human remains belong to a male and Investigators are going through the process of notifying the next of kin. Upon formal notification to the next of kin Police will be able to release further information regarding this investigation.

The investigation is progressing with several avenues of inquiry being looked at.  The public will be kept informed as more information regarding Operation Watto becomes available for release.
