Call for Public Assistance - Aggravated Assault - Alawa

Northern Territory Police are calling for public assistance following an aggravated assault on two males early this morning.
Detective Senior Sergeant Chris Board from the Serious Crime Squad said Police were alerted to the incident around 2:00am.
“It is alleged that four males were involved in an altercation on Trower Road, Alawa which resulted in two males being assaulted.
“Police and St John Ambulance attended, the two male victims were conveyed to Royal Darwin Hospital with facial injuries. They are both in a stable condition.
“One of the alleged offenders was arrested nearby and is currently in Police custody. Serious Crime Squad Detectives expect to question him later today.”
Investigations into the identity of the second offender are ongoing.
“Police ask anyone who observed the group near the intersection of Trower Road and Lakeside Drive Alawa or anyone with any information in relation to this incident to contact them on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000,” Detective Board said.
