Call for Information – Hit and Run – Alice Springs

Police are calling for witnesses in relation to an alleged hit and run in Alice Springs last night.

Detective Senior Constable 1st Class Jan-Paul Antemes of the Southern Investigations Division said a 23-year-old male was involved in a disturbance at a service station on the Stuart Highway near Schwarz Crescent when he was struck by a vehicle about 00:40am.

The vehicle did not stop and drove off north along the Stuart Highway.

The vehicle is described as being a medium-sized dark grey SUV.

The male received treatment at Alice Springs Hospital for injuries.

Police are asking anyone who witnessed the incident of who may have seen a vehicle similar to the one described around this time to contact 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
