The Northern Territory Fire and Rescue Service in the community

The Northern Territory Fire and Rescue Service (NTFRS) is an integral part of the Territory community. The NTFRS aims to engage the community through comprehensive education and awareness campaigns as well as providing a timely and effective response to fires and other emergencies in the Northern Territory.

The NTFRS also raise funds for a number of worthwhile charities including the Burns Unit at the Royal Darwin Hospital and Camp Quality and conduct the annual Pensioners’ Christmas Party which has been running for over 30 years.

The community areas covered include:

  • bushfire awareness and preparedness
  • fire education
  • fire safety guides
  • fire safety
  • volunteers
  • charity work
