Aggravated assault – Humpty Doo

A 43-year-old male has been charged in relation to an altercation that occurred on 31 December, 2008.

A group of people were at a residence in Humpty Doo when an altercation occurred between several of them, resulting in a 33-year-old male sustaining a blow to the head by a golf club.

St John Ambulance members arrived on scene and conveyed the male to Royal Darwin Hospital where he remains in a serious condition.

The 43-year-old male was apprehended and charged with aggravated assault - cause serious harm.

He was bailed to appear in the Darwin Magistrate's Court on 21 January.
