A 44-year-old man at the centre of a Police response in Nightcliff yesterday has been charged with possession of a prohibited weapon.

Senior Sergeant Bob Harrison said the alleged offender was in possession of hand held crossbow.

He has been bailed to appear in court in the New Year.
