The Northern Territory road toll has risen to 25 following the death of a 60-year-old woman this afternoon.

Northern Watch Commander, Senior Sergeant Geoff Bahnert said Police responded to reports of a single vehicle rollover on the Stuart Highway, 270km south of Katherine at around 3pm.

“The woman passed away at the scene a short time later.

“Investigations into the exact circumstances surrounding the crash are ongoing.”

The road toll for the same time last year was 34.
