Investigation into a Death - Palmerston

A 47-year-old Palmerston man has passed away in Royal Darwin Hospital after being located by Police at Goyder Square at around 9:00am 21 January.

Detective Senior Sergeant John Ginnane said Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death.

“Police believe the male may have been involved in an altercation in the central Palmerston area in the early hours of 21 January.

“The male has sustained a number of injuries when he was located by Police and enquiries are continuing to determine whether those injuries contributed to his death.”

Police are calling for public assistance, and ask anyone with information in relation to the incident to call Police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
