Rock Throwing Incident - Alice Springs

Police are calling for witnesses following a rock throwing incident that occurred in Alice Springs early Sunday morning.

Senior Sergeant Siiri Tennosaar said Police received a report that rocks had been thrown at a Taxi as it travelled down Strehlow Street at around 12:30am 24 February.

“One of the rocks penetrated the left rear window causing it to shatter. A 38-year-old female passenger received minor injuries after one of the rocks struck her arm and shards of glass caused cuts to her legs.”

“The incident was extremely dangerous and could have had tragic consequences.”
