Alice Springs Detectives have arrested a 24 -year-old man in relation to the alleged sexual assault of a 22-year-old woman.

Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Leith Phillips said the alleged incident occurred on Stuart Terrace near the Royal Flying Doctors Lawns at around 3:30am 2 February.

“The man has been charged with sexual assault without consent. Bail has been refused by police and he will appear in the Alice Springs Magistrates Court, Friday 8 February.

“Detectives are seeking the assistance of the public. If you were in the vicinity of Stuart Terrace near the Royal Flying Doctors Lawns at around 3:30am last Saturday morning, or have any information in relation to this crime please contact the Police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.”
