Theft from ATM – Humpty Doo

Serious Crime Detectives are investigating the theft of an undetermined amount of cash stolen from an Automatic Teller Machine in Humpty Doo.

Police secured the scene after being alerted to the incident this morning.

Detective Senior Sergeant Chris Board said an ATM at the Humpty Doo Shops had been tampered with overnight.

“We are in the early stages of an investigation and working closely with Chubb Security to ascertain the amount of cash missing from the machine.

“We have a team of Detectives and Forensic Examiners assigned to this case,” said Detective Senior Sergeant Board.

“We urge anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the vicinity of the Humpty Doo Shopping Centre, including any vehicles in the area overnight, to contact Police.”
