Three Arrested - Aggravated Assault - Humpty Doo

A 20-year-old Alawa man has been arrested by Serious Crime Squad Detectives in relation to an assault at the Humpty Doo Tavern last Tuesday night.

“He is the third alleged offender charged over the pub brawl, which has left a 33-year-old man in an induced coma in the Royal Darwin Hospital.” Said Commander Richard Bryson of the Crime and Specialist Support Command.

“The two other alleged co-offenders involved in this incident have already appeared in the Darwin Magistrates Court and been granted bail.”

The third alleged offender has been charged with:

Disorderly behaviour in a public place

Fight in a public place

Aggravated assault

Fail to rescue, provide help

Take part in an unlawful assembly

“The 20-year-old has been refused Police bail and is expected to appear in the Darwin Magistrates Court on Tuesday.”
