A 21-year-old man will appear in Alice Springs Magistrates Court today in relation to the alleged unlawful entry of the Red Ochre Grill over the weekend.

Detective Senior Sergeant Peter Malley said it appears the alleged offender has unlawfully entered the venue and stolen a bottle of wine at around 1:25am 9 February.

“He has then allegedly returned to the Red Orche Grill at around 3:55am and stolen a bottle of champagne before fleeing the venue.

“The alleged offender was followed by CCTV operators and arrested by Police. He was charged with aggravated unlawful entry with intent to commit offence, stealing, damage to property and consuming alcohol in a public restricted area.”
