Serious Crime Detectives have charged a 17-year-old male in relation to the vehicular assault of a Police Officer at Palmerston over the weekend.

Detective Senior Sergeant Peter Kennon said the youth was charged with recklessly endanger serious harm with intent to cause detention, cause harm, aggravated assault Police, damage to property, resist arrest, drive in a manner dangerous, drive unregistered and drive uninsured.  

“He has been bailed with conditions to appear before the Youth Justice Court on Tuesday 12 March 2013.

“Police still want to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the all terrain vehicle driving around the Palmerston CBD around 1:00am on Saturday morning. Call Police on 131444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.”
