Northern Territory Police are investigating a fatal vehicle rollover that occurred in Bees Creek overnight.

Detective Senior Sergeant Brendan Lindner said the rollover occurred just after midnight on Bees Creek road.

“A single cab ute carrying two occupants has left the road and rolled. Both occupants were ejected from the vehicle.

“Tragically a 32-year-old man died at the scene. A 27-year-old female, who is believed to be the driver, was taken to Royal Darwin Hospital where she is being assessed by medical staff.

“Investigations into the exact cause of the crash are ongoing. Early indications suggest that seatbelts were not being worn at the time of the rollover.”

The Territory road toll now stands at seven.
