Aggravated Robbery – Taxi – Girraween

At about 2.00am on Wednesday, 11 September 2019, a taxi driver was waved down on Pioneer Drive, Girraween by two males.  These two males have pulled the driver out of the taxi, they then disabled the on-board security camera and have taken the Toyota Camry taxi.

Police were notified and launched a search for the taxi.  At 3.30am this taxi was located in Palmerston and two 18-year-old males from Moulden were arrested.

The two males have been charged with; aggravated robbery, aggravated unlawful use of motor vehicle and damage to property.  The two males have bailed with strict reporting conditions to appear at the Darwin Local Court.
