Fire and Rescue
Police

Northern Territory Fire and Rescue Service have down-graded the messaging for areas north and south of Girraween Road to fire advice.

The fire is under control and there is no longer a threat to property in the Girraween area. Road blocks have been lifted and residents may now return to their homes.

NTFRS urge residents to monitor their properties and advise NTFRS of any spot fires.

Residents are advised to close their windows and stay indoors whilst smoke remains in the area.

Motorists are asked to be mindful of emergency personnel still in the area.

For the safety of firefighting crews and other vehicles, drivers in the area are urged to slow down, turn on headlights and drive safely for the conditions. Obey any directions of emergency services personnel.
