Northern Territory Fire and Rescue Service have issued a watch and act for some properties in Howard Springs.

There is a large grass fire at the intersection of Bronzewing Avenue and Parakeet Place in Howard Springs. The fire began at Iron Bridge on Gunn Point Road.

There are properties under threat. Residents are urged to take action to protect their families and homes. Implement your emergency plan.

Multiple fire crews are on scene battling the fire. Members of the public are asked to avoid the area. Further updates will be provided.
