Arrest - Aggravated assault - Alice Springs

Northern Territory Police have arrested a woman in relation to a recent aggravated assault in Alice Springs.

Around 8:30am this morning, detectives from the Alice Springs Criminal Investigation Branch arrested a 30-year-old female in relation to the assault on a 16-year-old female in Alice Springs CBD on 16 March 2024.

The victim was allegedly assaulted by a number of offenders and required treatment in hospital for her injuries.

The 30-year-old remains in custody and is expected to be charged later this evening.

Detectives would like to thank the public for providing vital information in relation to this assault and police expect further arrests will be made in the near future.
