Arrest - Aggravated assault - Darwin

Northern Territory Police have arrested a male in relation to an aggravated assault in Darwin overnight.

At around 9:00pm yesterday, police attended a service station along Smith Street after receiving a report of an armed person at the location that had allegedly stabbed a male victim.

The victim had successfully disarmed the male offender prior to police attendance and the offender was arrested without incident.

Both people involved in the incident are believed to be known to each other.

There were no serious injuries.
