Northern Territory Police are seeking public assistance to locate a youth who escaped  custody earlier today.

Around 3:30pm,  officers were escorting 16-year-old Cameron Price, who was on day release at a location on Kilgariff Estate, Alice Springs.

The youth has fled from officers, jumping the rear fence of the premises.

General duties police, Strike Force Viper, Dog Operations and the Mounted Unit were deployed to conduct searches across the area, but did not locate the 16-year-old.

Police urge anyone with information as to Cameron’s whereabouts not to approach him but to contact them on 131 444 or report it anonymously via Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 and reference number P24082859.
