NTICS - Northern Territory Incident Control System
Due to the multi-agency approach to emergency management a common management framework is required to coordinate all activities across all agencies. NTICS is the incident control system specifically designed for use in the Northern Territory.
The NTICS promotes effective multi-agency operations through the use of common terminology and a structure that provides for appropriate communication between organisations at all levels of the incident. NTICS also establishes a cohesive chain of command with the incident management structure.
An Introduction to the NT Incident Management System training package has been developed and is available on the Local Counter Disaster Planning Committee webpage at www.emergency.nt.gov.au. You are encouraged to complete this training to familiarise yourself with NTICS.
