A 60-year-old woman was arrested in Katherine on Wednesday afternoon after she was found to be in possession of four grams of cannabis and $5,800 in cash.

It is alleged the woman was selling cannabis around the Katherine township and that the cash was the proceeds of her sales.

A search warrant was executed on a residence at Binjari Community and a further five grams of cannabis was seized.

The woman was charged with unlawfully supplying cannabis to another, possessing cannabis in a public place, and receiving property in commission of a crime.

She was bailed to appear in the Katherine Court on December 21.

Meanwhile a 19-year-old man is to be summoned to appear in court for possession of cannabis after detectives executed another search warrant at Lockheed Road and two grams of cannabis was found.
