Police would like to advise that the following roads are closed due to flooding:

McMinns Street from Tiger Brennan Drive through to the Wharf
Bagot Road, Coconut Grove
Dick Ward Drive, Ludmilla

Duty Superintendent Bruce Porter said, "A high tide at 3pm will cause problems with the drainage system. We expect localised floodings in several areas and expect the above roads to be closed for at least the next 3 hours."

Gilruth Avenue is also closed due to a fallen tree and is likely to be closed until at least 4.30pm.

Police are advising motorists to take extreme care whilst on the road and to avoid these areas until the water has subsided.
