Unlawful entry and stolen vehicle – Durack - 4412364

Police

Police are investigating the unlawful entry and stolen motor vehicle incident that occurred early this morning.

It is alleged that a home in Durack was unlawfully entered this morning and a Mazda 3 sedan was stolen from the location.

At approximately 5:30 am police observed the stolen vehicle travelling along Temple Terrace in Gray.

Members followed the vehicle at low speed for a short distance; however the offenders abandoned the vehicle at the BMX track at Marlow Lagoon and ran into bushland.

The area was cordoned off and the Dog Operations Unit, along with a number of other police personnel, attended in an effort to locate the two males.

The containment lines have since been removed and the offenders remain outstanding.

Forensics experts are in attendance and examining the premises and the vehicle. Police are continuing a presence in the area of Marlow Lagoon and Driver in an effort to locate the two offenders.

The two male offenders are described to be between 13 and 15 years of age, aboriginal appearance, both with shoulder length dark hair and at the time, were wearing a black and a red shirt.
