12 Vehicles interfered with – Palmerston

Police

Over the last two evenings, 12 vehicles in the Palmerston suburbs of Gunn, Rosebery, Bakewell and Driver have had windows smashed and items stolen.

In the majority of the incidents, the vehicles have had the 1/4 panel smashed to gain entry into the vehicle and the offenders have then removed personal items from within the car.

Police believe that the majority of these offences have been occurring in the early hours of the mornings.

Superintendent Wayne Jenkinson said "enquiries are continuing to identify the offenders involved in these incidents. I'd also like to remind the public that as a precaution, not to leave goods of value in their vehicles."

Police are asking for anyone who may have any other information or observe any suspicious activity at any time to contact them on 131 444 or on Crime Stoppers 1800 333 000.
