Charges - Fatal Vehicle Crash - Arnhem Highway

A 44-year-old male has been charged in relation to a single vehicle crash that resulted in the death of a 30-year-old male passenger last month.

On 9 June the man lost control of his Holden Commodore on the Arnhem Highway, causing it to become airborne and wedged against a tree.

A 38-year-old female and the driver were taken to Royal Darwin Hospital.

The man was interviewed and subsequently charged yesterday.

He will appear in Darwin Magistrates Court on 16 August in relation to a number of serious traffic offences including 'drive a motor vehicle causing death'.
