Methylamphetamine seizure – Fly Creek - Update

A 27-year-old woman has been charged in relation to drug offences at Fly Creek last Saturday.

Her 41-year-old de-facto partner remains in police custody after facing 41 drug and firearm charges in a Darwin Magistrates Court on Monday as a result if the drug find.

Detectives from the Drug Enforcement Section executed a warrant at the Fly Creek address about 2am on Saturday 3 July.

They found a range of drugs, drug related paraphernalia and weapons at the property, including methylamphetamine, pseudoephedrine, a Ruger mini 14 semi-automatic rifle and two stolen .22 calibre rifles.

The woman has been charged with the following offences:
Produce schedule 2 substance;
Recklessly endangering children;
Possess a precursor to a dangerous drug;
Possess article used to manufacture drug;
Administer drug to self; and
Possess tainted property
She was refused police bail and will appear in court today.

Detective Senior Sergeant Clint Sims said that police still expect to make further arrests in relation to the incident.
