NT Police and Fire and Rescue personnel are currently in attendance at a speed boat explosion at Manton Dam.

NT Police received a report at approximately 3:00pm this afternoon that a speed boat with four people on board was on fire.

A 13-year-old boy has been taken to the Royal Darwin Hospital and a 20-year-old man is being treated at the scene for burns.

The other two passengers are reportedly uninjured.

Investigations are continuing into the cause of the explosion. Police have no further information at this stage.
