Police are investigating the theft of an historic horse drawn plough from Arltunga, east of Alice Springs.

Police received a report from the owner of the Arltunga Pub that the property had been unlawfully entered sometime between Friday March 12 and Sunday night March 14. Among property stolen was an historic horse-drawn plough (painted green) which was in the grounds. Thieves also stole a number of tools including a Makita grinder and a dry bulb thermometer from the weather station.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have information about the incident to contact them on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
