Please be advised, numerous roads in the Darwin and Rural area may experience traffic disruptions this weekend due to an oversize house relocation.

Police will be assisting the Department of Construction and Infrastructure in the relocation from Parap to Corroboree on Sunday 18 July.

The move is set to depart at 7:30am and will be travelling from Parap onto the Stuart Highway, Woolner Road, Tiger Brennan Drive, Amy Johnson Road and back on to the Stuart Highway out to Corroboree on the Arnhem Highway.

It is envisaged there will be some short term traffic delays, particularly on Tiger Brennan Drive where the truck will need to travel on the wrong side of the road for a short time.

NT Police will be providing traffic diversion at the scene; however the public is urged to take alternative routes if possible

Sergeant Troy Stephens said the move has been planned for Sunday morning to ensure minimal disruption to traffic.

"Please avoid these roads if possible and be patient if you do happen to experience delays on the day," he said.
