At about 9:00 pm tonight police received a report of an incident on Vanderlin Drive in Berrimah, where a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle.

It is believed that the man was struck by a four wheel drive just before 9:00pm, near the shopping complex on Vanderlin Drive. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene until Police arrived.

St John Ambulance attended and conveyed the pedestrian to Royal Darwin Hospital with possible serious injuries.

A section of Vanderlin Drive is currently closed and all traffic is being diverted down Agostini Road and Secrett Road.

Major Crash Investigators are attending the scene to determine the exact cause of the crash.
