Another man has been arrested for his alleged role in an assault that left three people stabbed during an altercation in Nightcliff.
Police allege the 45-year-old entered the John Stokes Square residence with co-offenders on Wednesday the 26th of October.
An altercation broke out and a pair of scissors was allegedly produced by a 34-year-old co-offender.
Sergeant Mark Bland from the General Crime Section said “One man was stabbed in the shoulder, while another received a wound to his hand. A female was also stabbed in the leg.”
“Police will allege the offenders then stole cash from the premises.”
“It appears to be a premeditated attack and it’s lucky no one was killed.” Said Sergeant Bland.
The 45-year-old offender has been charged with:
- 2 x Robbery whilst armed
- Assault with intent to steal
- Aggravated Assault
- Unlawful Entry at Night
- Armed with a controlled weapon
Both the 45-year-old and the 34-year old men will appear in the Darwin Magistrates Court tomorrow. Police are still trying to determine the whereabouts of a third alleged offender. Anyone with information is asked to contact Police on 131444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
