Tennant Creek Investigators have arrested and charged four people in relation to an assault that occurred on Tuesday 9 August 2011.
It is alleged that four people armed themselves with sticks and knives and forced entry into a residence at Village Camp at around 11:00pm.
The offenders, three males aged 19, 22 and 49 and a female aged 43 then proceeded to assault a 28-year-old male as he slept.
The offenders fled the scene and were located a short time later. They have since been charged with:
· Unlawfully causing serious harm
· Unlawful entry of a dwelling
A search warrant executed at the residence of one of the offenders located a number of knives believed to be used in the assault.
All four were remanded in custody to appear in Tennant Creek Court today.
The 28-year-old male victim received several puncture wounds to the leg and arm and was flown to Alice Springs Hospital for treatment.
