Police are investigating the assault of a 23-year-old man in Rapid Creek yesterday.

sterday. It is alleged the man was fishing at the Rapid Creek Bridge at about 4:00am when he was approached by three males and a female. After a brief conversation with the group, one of the males punched the victim to the face a number of times knocking him to the ground. One of the offenders then rummaged through the victims bag and stole his wallet and mobile phone.

Police attended and established a crime scene.

The victim was conveyed to RDH with minor injuries.

The offenders are described as

Caucasian male mid 20s, 165 cms tall, stocky build with short hair and was wearing a black singlet at the time of the incident.

Caucasian female, in her mid 20s, large build with long dark hair.

2 x Caucasian males in their mid 20s.

The vehicle the offenders were travelling in is described as a small grey sedan.

Police are continuing their enquiries.
