Police are currently investigating the death of a young man located on the Stuart Highway near Coolalinga earlier this morning.

NT Police were called at approximately 6:55 am after a member of the public had concerns for the man's welfare.

Police attended the scene and confirmed a male was deceased.

Major Crash investigators and Crime Division detectives are currently investigating to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the death.
