Drug and Organised Crime Detectives yesterday seized over $50,000 in cash together with 816 grams of cannabis during a raid on a Coconut Grove residence.

Officer in Charge of the Drug and Organised Crime Section, Detective Senior Sergeant Peter Schiller said a 58-year-old man was arrested and remanded to appear in Darwin Magistrates Court today. 

“He has been charged with possession and supply of a commercial quantity of cannabis and possession of tainted property.

“These significant quantities of drugs and cash suggest a commercial enterprise and Police will be seeking forfeiture of the cash.”
