A man will face court after allegedly crashing his car while driving with a blood alcohol content of .332 per cent.

Police in Alice Springs received a report that a car had crashed into the CAAMA building in Gap Road just after 1pm today.

When they arrived they found the 45-year-old driver and his two male passengers had escaped injury in the crash. Witnesses said the Toyota Lexcen was being driven north along Gap Road when it suddenly veered into the South-bound lane before mounting the footpath and crashing into the wall.

The driver was arrested and was found to be driving with a blood alcohol content of .332 per cent. He will face numerous charges including driving unlicensed and driving with a high range blood alcohol content.
