One lane on the Victoria Highway, approximately 32kms east of Timber Creek, remains closed while police investigate the cause of a fatal rollover that occurred at 10:15 am this morning.

One male passenger has died and a female passenger was injured as a result of the crash. The male driver and a male passenger escaped uninjured.

Investigations into the cause of the crash are continuing and there is no further information at this stage.

Drivers may experience a short delay in the area and Police thank the public for their patience.

The NT road toll stands at 24, compared to 36 for the same period last year.
