Alice Springs Police conducted a three-day Special Operation within town camps over the weekend.
Police conducted Random Breath Testing (RBT) stations at 2 locations on 121 drivers in total.
The operation was intended to reduce alcohol in the camps and related offences.
The results of the operation are as follows;
- 4 Cautions issued
- 2 Traffic Infringement Notices
- 1 Summons for Drive Unlicensed / Unregistered / Uninsured
- 2 Arrests for Drink Driving
- 1 Arrest for Drug Offences.
Overall the operation was highly successful with 440 litres of alcohol destroyed in three days.
