Robbery - Nightcliff

NT Police are calling for public assistance after a robbery at Nightcliff Shopping Centre earlier today.

Police were alerted to the incident at 8:10am this morning after an unknown woman entered Crazy Clarks and demanded money. The offender is alleged to have approached a 19-year-old female staff member immediately after the shop opened and threatened to hurt her if she did not hand over $200.

The victim immediately handed over the cash before the woman fled toward Dickward Drive.

The offender is described as a Caucasian female with a slightly tanned complexion and brown hair done up in a bun. She was wearing short denim shorts, a black and white horizontal striped singlet and thongs at the time of the incident.

Police are calling for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who can identify the offender to call them on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
