Two weeks into a two month operation Strike Force Nemesis has been prominent around Darwin and rural areas, targeting drug offenders and property crime.

Officers from the Drug and Organised Crime Section, Tactical Teams and the Territory Intelligence Division have to date executed twenty three search warrants resulting in:

121 Charges laid

44   Arrests

8     Summons

6     Drug infringement notices

Items seized include:

785 Grams of cannabis

7     Cannabis plants

9.1  Grams of methamphetamine

67   LSD tabs

$8342 in cash alleged to be the proceeds of crime

Detective Sergeant Mark Stringer has praised the work of his team and the continued input of the wider community.

“Strike Force Nemesis Detectives have been getting some great results.  We have made some considerable arrests and seizures in a short time frame.” Detective Stringer said.

“This is an intelligence-led operation.  We are appealing to the general public to continue providing information in relation to people involved in drug and property related crimes”

Strike Force Nemesis will continue for another six weeks
