Two more teens arrested for robbery in Alice Springs

Two more teenagers have been arrested over a robbery which occurred on Thursday morning last week.

Police received a report from the 19-year-old male victim that he was set upon by five males near the KFC car park just after 2am on Thursday. The offenders allegedly assaulted him and stole a quantity of cash.

Police arrested a 13-year-old boy in Bloomfield Street a short time later. He will be summonsed to appear in the Youth Justice Court at a later date.

On Friday morning  just after 12.30am two more of the alleged offenders were arrested at the 24 Hour Store in relation to the robbery.

The 19-year-old has been charged with robbery and was remanded in custody to appear in the Alice Springs Magistrates Court today.

The 16-year-old has also been charged with robbery and has been bailed to appear in the Youth Justice Court on September 12.

Police investigations into the incident are continuing and Police are appealing for any witnesses to phone them on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
