Witnesses sought – KFC Robbery – Coconut Grove

Police are calling on assistance from the public as they continue to investigate an armed robbery that occurred in Coconut Grove over night.

It was reported to Police that at around 10:30 pm two men exited their vehicle and entered the KFC store on Bagot Road.

Both men were wearing balaclavas and were brandishing knives upon entry.

They continued menacing staff, eventually obtaining a sum of money from a 25-year-old male staff member and then left the scene, fleeing in a red Holden Commodore towards Nightcliff.

Offender one is described as a Caucasian male approximately 175 cm's tall, solid build with short light coloured hair and light brown eyes. At the time of the incident he was wearing a black shirt and pants with dark shoes. He was also wearing a white cloth across his face.

Offender two is also described as a Caucasian male around 175 cm's tall, athletic build with short light coloured hair. He too was wearing a white cloth across his face and similar clothing to offender one.

Police patrolled the Coconut Grove area and surrounding suburbs. A roadblock was also established; however the offenders were not located.
