Police have charged a 58-year-old man with murder following the death of a 47-year-old man in Ti Tree.

Detective Sergeant Isobel Cummins of the Major Crime Squad said the incident was reported to Police shortly before 6pm on Tuesday evening.

“It is alleged the man and his 47-year-old brother were involved in an altercation at Caravan Camp which resulted in the death of the victim,” Detective Sergeant Cummins said.

“The man was arrested at the scene on Tuesday evening and was the subject of a joint investigation by Major Crime Squad and Southern Investigation Division members.”

He is remanded to appear in the Alice Springs Magistrates Court on Monday 9 July 2012.
