A 26-year-old man has been remanded in custody following an assault which occurred in Sadadeen on Tuesday, 24 January.

Constable First Class Ron Guascoine said the incident occurred at a residence on Aneura Place.

“It is alleged the male assaulted his 23-year-old partner, which resulted in her receiving a broken jaw,” Constable First Class Guascoine said.

“The woman has then stabbed the male to the chest before running from the residence.

“The man was charged with unlawfully cause serious harm and aggravated assault and is to appear in the Alice Springs Court on 22 March 2012.”
