A 51-year-old man is due to appear in court today charged with sexual intercourse without consent.

It is alleged that the offender had sexually and physically assaulted the 25-year-old victim on the 2and 3 July 2012 at Hidden Valley Camp.

Senior Sergeant Travis Wurst of the Southern Investigations Section said it is alleged the offender had sex without consent from the victim.

“It is alleged that when the victim attempted to defend herself, the offender proceeded to physically assault her,” said Senior Sergeant Wurst.

The offender has been charged with:

Sexual intercourse without consent

Attempt sexual intercourse without consent

Aggravated assault (x 2)
